WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU REMEMBER EATING?

Liver Sausage. We lived above a grocers shop and it was always a treat to have Saturday lunch with Dad making us Liver Sausage sandwiches.

 

WHO HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON WHAT YOU EAT?

I would have to say Albert Roux. Or more likely all of the Chefs I trained under and with. The kitchens opened my eyes to foods that I had never heard of, and there was no opportunity to refuse to try something.

 

WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING YOU COOKED FOR A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?

No idea! I used to make a Poached Chicken Breast with Julienne of Leek and Carrots. There were no unpleasant smells if I got that all important first kiss. I think a few girls got Chicken.

 

WHO WOULD BE YOUR DREAM DINNER DATE?

Piers Morgan is probably the most connected man in the world. He would entertain with funny stories, but Prince Charles is an amazing man and I would love a one on one with him to listen to his views on the future of Britain

 

WHAT WOULD YOU COOK?

I’d cook very carefully in case he threw me in the Tower!!………. Definitely Roast Rib of Beef  and Yorkshire Pudding with Apple Pie to follow

 

WHAT FOOD WOULD YOU MISS MOST IF YOU COULD NEVER HAVE IT AGAIN?

Coffee, beer, toast, Cheddar?? Who knows??

 

DO YOU TAKE FOOD IN YOUR CASE WHEN YOU GO ON HOLIDAY?

Never. The world has so much to offer.

 

WHAT WOULD YOU COOK FOR ME IF YOU NEEDED TO SAVE YOUR JOB?

It doesn’t really apply to me, but if the situation arose, I would make sure that there was plenty of good wine to butter the boss up. (just in case the Team are reading)!!
